Welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #120!
Don't those colors just scream springtime?!  Well, they also made me think baby.  So, I've whipped up this sweet, little number, just for your viewing pleasure, today.
I started this card by piecing together the 1-1/2" squares of color-coordinating, patterned papers onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, which had been trimmed with pinking sheers; machine stitching, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around their edges and between their connections; and adhering the prepped piece to the polka dot embossed and ink distressed, with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks, Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.  I then trimmed it below with a length of white lace, topped with a peach ribbon, which was tied in a bow, just right of vertical center, and embellished with an aqua button, laced with a hemp twine bow.
The bear image was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of Whisper White cardstock; water colored with Certainly Celery and Pool Party inks; hand cut out; dressed up with a little glitter; and adhered, with foam tape, to the card face, just to the left of vertical center.
I then tucked the stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a hand cut piece of vellum, "Hopes and Dreams, Love and Possibilities...", sentiment banner under the bottom right of the bear image...
and dressed up the space just above it with a trio of kraft butterflies, anchored with clear gemstones.
Now, it's your turn!  You have until the close of the day EST, next Tuesday, February 28, 2012, to link up your takes over at the challenge link above.  Please also use that link to check out what the rest of the team has been up to with this baby blue, orangesicle, and basil color story, as well as to find out what you're playing for this week from our talented sponsor, Theresa Momber, Designer for Gina K. Designs.  Thanks so much for checking in on me, and have a truly fabulous rest of your week, ya'll!  Hugs!

I thought baby too when I saw these colours, they are perfect for it, but on the day I chose a different theme. I love what you've done here, your stitching is sooo pretty and I just love how you describe your step by step process, it's wonderful!
