PDCC123 - DRS Designs

It's that time again!  Time for The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #123!  I was so impressed with all of your entries for last week's challenge (Then again, you all never fail to inspire me ;)!), but I'm even more excited to see where this beauty takes you!
Our sponsor for this week is DRS Designs, who so graciously allowed each of us designers to pick out a couple of goodies to play with.  Thank you, DRS Designs!
I picked Just Because and Spring Crocus and, along with that teal, electric green, tangerine, and jeans color story above, came up with this.
I started this card by framing a piece of teal, polka dot, patterned paper with Night of Navy cardstock; machine stitching, with navy-threaded, straight stitches, around its edges; stamping the "Just Because..." sentiment, in Basic Black ink, in its bottom right corner; and adhering it to the bottom portion of the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
I then double-framed a piece of orange, polka dot, patterned paper with more, navy-threaded, straight, machine stitches...
trimmed out its bottom edge with a pleated and frayed length of denim; wrapped it, twice, with a length of orange ribbon, tied, in a bow, near the left edge of the card face and embellished with a lime button, laced with a hemp twine bow; and adhered it, with foam tape, to the top portion of the card face, overlapping the prepped, sentiment piece.
The crocus image was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of Whisper White cardstock; water colored with Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade, and Night of Navy inks; highlighted with those same inks and a blender pen; hand cut out; enlarged with a stamped, in Basic Black ink, on a bright green, polka dot, patterned paper, and hand cut out frame; and adhered, with foam tape, in its respective location, to complete the look.  And just in case you're just lovin' these bold, bright, and happy, patterned papers, all but the orange one can be found in this month's Market Street Stamps Market Fresh On the Bright Side Kit.
Now, it's your turn, ya'll!  You have until the close of the day EST, next Tuesday, March 20, 2012, to link up your takes over at the challenge link above.  Please also be sure to stop by that link to see what happy creations the rest of the team has cooked up, just for you all, today, as well as to find out what you're playing for from our fabulous sponsor.  Thanks, as always, for stopping by, and I hope you all have a truly amazing rest of your weeks!  Be blessed!

Love this Jinny, especially how you've used the denim. It seems really different for you, but yet still has your signature style. Really fresh and fun!
