Three in One

TGIF!  I cannot tell you how glad I am that it is Friday!  It has been a rough week here.  So much so, that I don't even want to talk about.  So, I'm just going to get right to the paper-crafted creation that I have, for you all, today.  I made this one for my sister and brother-in-law's anniversary, and I'm quite early, which is nice for a change ;); but the challenges, that I used for this number, lent themselves perfectly to said such, and I just let my creativity flow.
I started this card by stamping a piece of Not Quite Navy cardstock, in Night of Navy ink, with the vintage notepad background and over stamping it, in Whisper White ink, with the leaf images and, in Basic Black ink, with the postage stamp, filled in with the stamped, in Basic Black ink, heart.
I then cut it in half vertically; adhered the two halves, side by side, to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face; and machine stitched, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around their edges.  A navy, stamp, patterned paper was then anchored with more, white-threaded, zig-zag stitches; and a navy, stripe, patterned paper was secured with white-threaded, straight stitches, both in their respective locations, before stamping the "July 29", which just so happens to be the date of their anniversary, postmark, over the left side of the postage stamp, in Basic Black ink.
The pocket was die cut from a old pair of denim jeans; anchored with double, white-threaded, straight stitches; and dressed up with both the stamped, in Regal Rose ink, on Whisper White cardstock, and hand cut banner, which was filled in with the stamped, in Basic Black ink, "a pocketful of Love" sentiment, as well as the stamped, in Regal Rose ink, on Whisper White cardstock, and hand cut, heart bubble.  Both were adhered with foam tape, and the latter received both a healthy dose of glitter, along with the previously stamped, in the postage stamp, heart, as well as a white, crystal heart.
Finally, I tied a dressy bow with white, seam binding ribbon; adhered it just to the top left of the denim pocket; and dressed up its center with a pink, heart button, laced with two, hemp twine bows.
Inspiration for this card came from The Shabby Tea Room's Week #103: Shabby Shutters...
the Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, and Card Positioning System's Sketch 254.
And before I'm off for the weekend, I wanted to share a few pictures of my baby girl.  She and I needed a girl's night last night and went for a picnic in the park.  We were the last one's to leave and treated ourselves to a little ice cream afterwards.
It was truly a breath of fresh air, and it's so hard to believe that now it's snowing.  LOL!  That's Kansas for you!  Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you all have a super, wonderful weekend!  Hugs!
