Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, y'all!  We went to a family Easter activity on Friday, as well as our Easter church service last night in order to free up seats, in the auditorium, this morning.  But we've got lots of fun stuff planned for today.  So, while the Hot Cross Buns are rising and before we're off enjoying time as a family and celebrating the resurrection of our Savior, I wanted to share a little, card creation perfect for this beautiful day.
I started this card by stamping a piece of Whisper White cardstock, which had been ink distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks, in Rose Red ink, with the flower images; in Always Artichoke ink, with the leaves; in Certainly Celery ink, with the little butterflies; and in Chocolate Chip ink, with the "BUTTERFLY'S HOME", book text, before adhering it just inside the right side of a piece of Always Artichoke cardstock.
The left side of the Always Artichoke cardstock was dressed with a slightly smaller, soft green, crackle, patterned paper.  After machine stitching, with brown-threaded, straight stitches, around the edges of both papers, I filled the space between them with a hand cut, bright pink, polka dot, patterned, paper pennant, which, too, was machine stitched around with brown-threaded, straight stitches.  I then stamped the "Happy EASTER" sentiment, in Chocolate Chip ink, vertically, along the stitched pennant's left edge, before adhering the entire, prepped piece to the Certainly Celery, cardstock, card face.
A length of white, seam binding ribbon was then wrapped, vertically, just inside the pennant's left, stitched edge; tied, in a dressy bow, near the top edge of the card face; and embellished with a vintage, pewter brad, backed with two, hemp twine bows.
I also laced the bow with a little, hand-made, embellishment, which I started by creating the faux chipboard tag.  To do so, I die cut five tags from Whisper White cardstock, adhered them stacked one on top of the other, ink distressed their edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks, and covered the top layer with glitter.  It was then topped with a stamped, in Pretty in Pink and Rose Red inks, on Whisper White cardstock, butterfly, which was hand cut out; adhered, just at its center, in the center of the tag; and embellished with a trio of clear gemstones to complete the look.
Inspiration for this card came from The Ribbon Carousel's Challenge 47: Spring Is in the Air and the DIY Embellishments Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

That's all, for now, folks!  May your Easter Sunday be filled with family, fun, and sweet remembrances of all our risen Lord has done, on our behalf, that we may spend eternity with Him.  Be blessed!

Matthew 28:1-7
After the Sabbath, as the first light of the new week dawned, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to keep vigil at the tomb.  Suddenly the earth reeled and rocked under their feet as God’s angel came down from heaven, came right up to where they were standing. He rolled back the stone and then sat on it.  Shafts of lightning blazed from him. His garments shimmered snow-white.  The guards at the tomb were scared to death. They were so frightened, they couldn’t move.  The angel spoke to the women: “There is nothing to fear here. I know you’re looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross.  He is not here. He was raised, just as he said. Come and look at the place where he was placed.  “Now, get on your way quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He is risen from the dead. He is going on ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there.’ That’s the message.”
