Market Fresh Apr. Kit Sneak Peek: Day 2

Monday, April 9, 2012

We're back with Day 2 of Market Street Stamps' Market Fresh April Kit Sneak Peeks and have got cards to share, with you all, today!  I've only added a bit of twine and cardstock, as well as a lone, red button and length of ribbon from my stash, to make these creations sing.  Let's just jump right in!
I started this card by trimming the bottom of a piece of aqua, stripe, patterned paper with a punched stripe of textured, berry cardstock; framing the prepped piece with textured, ivory cardstock; machine stitching, with red-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around the edges of the patterned, paper piece; and adhering the entire thing to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
I then stamped the strawberry image, in Jet Black ink, in the center of the jar journaling card, being sure to mask off the left edge of the jar; water colored them with Ruby Red, Lucky Limeade, and Chocolate inks; and adhered the jar, with foam tape, in the center of the card face.
A yummy, green, ribbon bow dresses up its top edge.
Finally, I stamped the "berry sweet" sentiment, in Jet Black ink, on a hand cut, vellum banner and anchored it, over the bottom portion of the jar, with a Pure Poppy button, laced with Baker's Twine bows.
I grabbed another one of those fabulous, journaling cards to be the highlight of this next creation, too.
I started this card by adhering a piece of yellow, floral, patterned paper to a slightly larger piece of textured, ivory cardstock and machine stitched, with gold-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around its edges, before adhering it to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.  Its middle was then dressed with a strip of teal, star, patterned paper, which had its top and bottom edges machine stitched with gold-threaded, straight stitches.  Next, came that gorgeous, vintage, journaling card, which I adhered with foam tape and framed with an ink distressed and glittered, faux, chipboard frame.
A layered, chipboard, "MOM" sentiment...
and a length of white, seam binding ribbon, tied in a dressy bow and embellished with a gold button, leftover from February's Farmhouse Dreamin' Kit, which was laced with a couple of hemp twine bows and topped with a yellow, resin flower, complete the look.
Three seems to be my lucky number lately.  So, how about one more?
I started this card by hand cutting the little frames from a sheet of patterned paper filled with frames; ink distressing their edges; adhering them around the edges of a piece of ink distressed, strawberry, patterned paper; and machine stitching, with red-threaded, straight stitches, around its edges, before framing the prepped piece with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
I then wrapped the right side of the prepped piece with a length of Baker's Twine; tied it, in a bow, just above vertical center; and embellished it with both a red, resin flower and another frame, prepared in the same way as the others and stamped, in Pretty in Pink ink, with the small, strawberry image, as well as, in Riding Hood Red ink, with the "berry sweet" sentiment, which also received a dose of glitter, before the entire piece was adhered, with foam tape, to the textured, strawberry, cardstock, card face.
