SIT #79

Note: If you've come here looking for my PDCC133 - Mr. Cricut Crazy post, please scroll down.

It's time for those famed, two-pagers over at Sketches in Thyme, and I've tapped into my May Jenni Bowlin Kit for further inspiration.
I started this layout by anchoring a piece of butterfly, patterned paper, across both the polka dot and aqua, stripe, base pages, with both staples, at all four corners, and Washi tape.
You can also see the hand cut strip of aqua, stripe, patterned paper I used to trim the bottom of the left side of my photo frame, carrying over onto the right side, in that photo above.  Speaking of framing the photographs, I used a piece of embossed and sanded, pink cardstock to do just that and matted the large, center pics with Whisper White cardstock as well.  I then trimmed the photo grid, to either side, with a strip of gray, stripe, patterned paper, as well as a strip of strawberry, patterned paper, both of which were anchored with black-threaded, straight stitches; and the latter of whose stitches were tied off, at either end, to the front of the layout.  The below photograph also shows two of the three, punched, from more of that sweet, strawberry, patterned paper, photo corners I adhered, with foam tape, throughout the design.
I then wrapped the strawberry, patterned paper's center with hemp twine, thread through tiny punched holes.  The left side of the layout received that black, pearl embellished, hemp twine, bow treatment above, but I kept it simple on the right side.
That gives you the bones of the design.  Now, turning our attention to the left side of the layout...
I created the "YUM!" title from foam Thickers.
A duet of kraft frames, backed by a simple, white, paper doily, tops the photographs.  The butterflies in their centers were hand cut from that original, butterfly, patterned paper which anchors the whole design.  The left one was embellished with a green, resin flower, and the right was dressed up with a kraft, butterfly sticker, as well as a pink Twinkle Goosebump.
A little, note card, upon which I journaled, first rice cereal, April 18, 2009, and secured with a simple, paper clip...
completes this side and turns our attention to the right...
where you'll find lots more of those kraft frames, embellished in the same way as the previous side, with the exception of the added, white, sticker, blossom element.  Also, one of the top frames was stamped, in Basic Black ink, with the "sweet baby girl" subtitle.
And, finally, one in the cluster at the bottom...
was stamped, in Basic Black ink, with the "5 months" label.  I included the date on the left side of the layout, too, because she was really almost, but not quite, six months at the time these photos were taken.
Okay, y'all, now it's your turn!  Here's your sketch for Challenge #79.
Be sure to have your takes, not only for this challenge, but also for Challenge #77 and/or Challenge #78, linked up, over in the right hand column of the Sketches in Thyme Blog, by the close of the month, next Thursday, May 31, 2012, to have your shot at being named one of our elite Top Three and/or to be a Guest Designer, with us, in the coming months.  Please also stop by the challenge link above to see what the rest of the Mavens have created to inspire you, and thanks so much for stopping by my little corner of the web!  Hugs!
