I started this card by stamping the yellow, polka dot, patterned paper, in Summer Sun ink, with the honeycomb background and, in Basic Black ink, with a trio of partial doily images, as well as the "BE YOU" sentiment from Life is Beautiful, before framing it with a piece of Basic Black cardstock and machine stitching, with black-threaded, straight stitches, around its edges.

I started this card by stamping the sun, from Life is Beautiful and which was later glittered and embellished with clear gemstones, in Summer Sun ink, in the top left corner of a piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Finally, I adhered a strip of green, floral, patterned paper, which I had punched across its top edge and stamped, across its bottom center, in Basic Black ink, with the "you are my sunshine" sentiment from Life is Beautiful. The punched scraps were then tucked in behind its top edges, just to add dimension, before machine stitching, with double, blue-threaded, straight stitches, around the prepped piece's edges and adhering it to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
Got time for one more? I absolutely LOVE that the size of these stamps lend themselves beautifully to not only cards, but also layouts. Woohoo!
I started this layout by adhering a piece of yellow, sun, patterned paper across both sides of the green, wavy, patterned, paper, base pages and machine stitching, with black-threaded, straight stitches, around their edges. A couple of punched, turquoise, chevron, patterned, paper strips were then adhered across both sides and just below what would be the photo mat.
I then stamped the outside bottom edges of both sides of the Whisper White, cardstock, photo mat, in Jet Black ink, with the large, floral images from Grow and colored them in with Lucky Limeade, Garden Green, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie inks and a blender pen, before anchoring the whole thing, across both sides of the layout, with more of those black-threaded, straight, machine stitches.
After adhering my photographs, I turned my attention to the left side of the layout...
where I tucked a stamped, in Basic Black ink, with the notepad background, and ink distressed, Very Vanilla, cardstock, journaling card under the top edge of the far right photograph. It was then anchored with a simple paper clip and used to journal, in Basic Black, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Elegant Eggplant, and Lucky Limeade inks, On Saturday, we explored the beauty of the Fontenelle Forest. It was so peaceful and still, other than the time we spent in the forest playscape, climbing, playing music, and just being outdoors. I could've visited every day of my life and enjoyed every moment of it. Before leaving for a picnic lunch, we grabbed a couple birthday presents, for family members, in the gift shop. July 25, 2009.
I wrapped the top of the photograph under the journaling card with a stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the "Life is Beautiful" subtitle, from Life is Beautiful, strip of vellum.
A couple pamphlets, from our trip to the forest itself and which tuck neatly behind a pocket I made with the photographs, but also allow us to flip through them, at a later date, if we so choose to, serve as my "ReDiscover & ReConnect Fontenelle Forest Nature Center" title.
Finally, I stamped the flowers, from Life is Beautiful, in Tempting Turquoise and Real Red inks, and the leaves, again from Life is Beautiful, in Lucky Limeade ink, on Whisper White cardstock; hand cut and punched them all out; adhered them, in their respective cluster positions, some flat and others with foam tape; and dressed them up with a couple of hemp twine bows...
before turning my attention to the right side of the layout...
which, too, received a flower cluster, created in the same way as above.
Above that cluster, I stamped the "live simple" subtitle, from Woodland, vertically, in Basic Black ink.
A stamped, in Jet Black ink, on vellum, and hand cut out "i {heart} nature" frame, from Woodland, picks my son out of one of the trails in the forest.
Last, but certainly not least, and at the risk of cluttering the design, I couldn't help adding a trio of owls, again from Woodland, in the top right corner, just above my photographs. They were stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of Whisper White cardstock; colored in with Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Early Espresso, and Soft Suede inks and a blender pen; hand cut out; and adhered, in their horizontal row, with foam tape.
That's the long and short of it, y'all! I've got one more card, using yet another, new, stamp set, for y'all, tomorrow. Then, on Thursday, you'll get to see all seven of this round's releases in their entirety. Yippeee!
Please be sure to stop by the Market Street Stamps Blog, if you haven't done so already, as well as the rest of the girls' blogs to see what all they've cooked up with today's release goodies. Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a blessed evening!
