Note: If you've come here looking for my Papercraft Star 101: Father's Day post, please scroll down.

It's time for Market Street Stamps' Paint the Town: Color Challenge 15, and Angelica's cooked up an uber retro color story of rich red, hi-fi woodgrain, ripe banana, and avocado green, for you all, this month.  Here's where it led me.
I started this card by stamping the Vintage Notepad background, in Riding Hood Red ink, on a piece of ink distressed, Very Vanilla cardstock.  I then stamped over it, in Chocolate Chip ink, with the Grace background, which later received a small dose of glitter; trimmed it, above, with the multi-colored, floral, patterned paper; and framed the entire piece with a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock.
Before machine stitching, with red-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around its edges, I stamped the "Thinking of You" sentiment, from Simple Salutations, in Riding Hood Red ink, on an ink distressed, die cut, from Very Vanilla cardstock, banner, which I adhered, near the bottom right corner of the prepped piece, flush with the right edge of the stamped piece.
The space between the patterned paper and stamped piece was then dressed up with a length of ivory lace, topped with a length of twill tape, tied, in a bow, near the left edge of the prepped piece.
I then stamped the dotted circle image, from So Happy, in Daffodil Delight ink, on an ink distressed, Very Vanilla, cardstock circle, which I topped with a stamped, in Basic Black ink, on a piece of red, plaid, patterned paper, and hand cut butterfly, which came in the May Market Fresh Kit and whose center was embellished with a yellow button, laced with hemp twine.  The circle was then flanked with a die cut, from Wild Wasabi cardstock, and ink distressed, leafy branch, as well as a couple of hemp twine bows, before the entire thing was adhered, with foam tape, to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
Now, it's your turn, and here's your inspiration board to get you started.
Oh!  And you don't want to miss out, y'all, because you're playing for a MSS stamp set of your choice, valued at $15 or less.  Woohoo!  Can't beat that!  You have until the close of the day CST, on Monday, June 25, 2012, to link up your takes over at the challenge link above.  Please also use that link to check out what the rest of the MSS girls have been up to with this color story.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a terrific day!

What a great card! Love how you've tied these papers together, not what I would ever have picked out, but it totally works. You have a great eye! The red stitching is awesome too!
