Welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #138!  We're playing with the colors cotton candy, ruby, citrus, and dusk this week, and here's where they led me.

{Photo Removed for Publication}

I started this card by ink distressing the Peanut Cluster, cardstock, card face with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; stamping it, in Crumb Cake ink, with the notepad background; and spritzing it in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede inks.

I then set it aside to prep the medallion embellishment.  I first punched one edge of a strip of Marshmallow cardstock; stamped it, in Wisteria Wonder ink, with the "love" text; and scored and pleated it into the base of my medallion.  I then die cut the doily from Wax Lips cardstock, applied it to the front of the medallion, and topped it with a stamped, in Wisteria Wonder ink, on a Marshmallow, cardstock, die cut circle, circle frame; two, die cut, from Candy Hearts and Citrus Peanuts cardstock, one of which was dry embossed with polka dots and the other of which was debossed with flourishes as it was die cut; and a pink, resin flower, flanked with a couple of hemp twine bows.

The medallion was then backed with white lace; a red, saddle stitch ribbon; and an orange, gingham ribbon and anchored with a stamped, in Basic Black ink, on a hand cut, Candy Hearts, cardstock pennant, "take joy in the little things" sentiment, whose left side was pierced with a silver safety pin.

Now, it's your turn!  Here's your inspiration board to get you started.
You have until the close of the day EST, next Tuesday, July 3, 2012, to link up your takes over at the challenge link above.  Please also use that link to find out what you're playing for this week, as well as to see what the rest of the team has cooked up, using the same inspiration board as above.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be blessed!

I like the way your colors just pop out of the tea bag stained card. Blessings!

A beauty Jinny!! I saw this in the gallery and was swooning! Sorry I'm only leaving one message this time, I've been on a coaching weekend since Friday morning so haven't had a minute to get anything done. If you need any free practice coaching let me know, I need to put in 50 practice hours!!
