PDCC139 - My Creative Classroom

Welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #139!  We're letting our elegant sides shine, this week, with the colors nude, gold, and silver.  Here's where they led me.
I started this card by silver embossing the text, randomly, across a piece of Blush Blossom cardstock, dry embossing it with the fancy flourishes, and brushing over those flourishes with Perfect Pearls Perfect Gold powder.  If you'd rather trade the distressed, almost rubbed look for a cleaner design, you could always paint on the Perfect Gold powder.  But y'all, I so wish you could see all the shine in this beauty!  Note to self: Use Perfect Pearls and silver embossing powder more often.  Yum!
I then wrapped a length of Basic Grey, taffeta ribbon, around the top half of the prepped piece; tied it, in a bow, near the left edge of the prepped piece; and adhered the prepped piece, with foam tape, to the Blush Blossom, cardstock, card face.
The medallion, as well as the "S", were silver embossed on a white, cardstock, die cut circle.  The "J" was then given the same treatment as the flourishes, and the medallion was studded with silver pearls, before the prepped circle was adhered, with foam tape, to the right of the bow.  I had my brother, Jason, and his bride-to-be, Sarah, in mind as I created this card.
Further inspiration for this card came from Jan's Embossing Challenge, at Papercraft Star, in honor of our 2nd Anniversary.  And now, it's your turn!  Here's this week's inspiration board to get you started.
You have until the close of the day EST, next Tuesday, July 10, 2012, to link up your takes at the challenge link above.  Please also use that link to see what the rest of this talented team has cooked up, just for your viewing pleasure, as well as to find out what you're playing for from this week's sponsor, My Creative Classroom.
We have the talented Amy Tsuruta guest designing with us this week and are absolutely thrilled that she is just one of the new designers that also will be joining the team next term.  So, be sure to leave her lots of love.  Welcome, Amy!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a blessed day!
