Weekend Snapshots

Happy Monday, y'all!  Well, they got our car fixed late on Friday.  We had it for the weekend, but it's puttering pretty badly, which it wasn't doing before.  So, it's back to the shop this morning.  I can live without the air conditioning, but I need something reliable to be driving around Kansas City.  I hate to be stranded somewhere alone with my kiddos.  That would be absolutely no good!  But having it for the weekend, meant that after that Lowe's Build and Grow Clinic, we were able to run a few needed errands on Saturday.
It also meant that we got to go to church on Sunday and get Ezekiel's haircut after.  Check out these before and after shots!  Gracious!  This kid needed a haircut ;)!  And that necklace, around his neck, below, came from our trip to Jones Aquatic Center, for his birthday, last weekend.  Kiddos nine-years-old and under have to pass a swimming test to use the diving board.  Then, they're given these necklaces to make them easier for the lifeguards to identify.  He's ever so proud of his accomplishment ;).
But other than that, we tried to give the car a rest, until it could get back to the shop.  We still kept plenty busy with things that needed to be done around the house, including trying to keep the gardens alive in this heat.
My kiddos are managing the heat in little increments at a time.  We're ever so thankful for the relief the shade, from the old trees in our backyard, provides!
Plus, they just can't seem to get enough of those Edy's Fruit Bars.
These blueberry, pomegranate, and white grape, antioxidant bars are their absolute faves!
I'll be back on track with a Christmas creation, to try to cool things down a bit more, tomorrow.  Until then, have a truly blessed start to your work weeks, y'all!  I'm off to switch over the laundry and get those beds made.  Hugs!  And thanks so much for stopping by to check on us!
