Note:  If you've come here looking for my Wplus9 Aug./Sept. Release: Reveal and/or Papercraft Star 107: Fruit post(s), please scroll down.

It's time for this month's Market Street Stamps' Paint the Town: Color Challenge, specifically Challenge 17.  And boy, is it a beauty with its buttery yellow, tan, wheat, and mystic blue color scheme!  Yum!  Here's how it inspired me.
I started this card by trimming the left side of a piece of ivory, text, patterned paper with a die-cut strip of Wisteria Wonder cardstock and framing the whole thing with Soft Suede cardstock.
A soft yellow, journaling card was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the vase and, in Basic Black ink, with the "Oh, Happy Day! sentiment and adhered near the bottom of the prepped piece and flush with the right edge.
I then machine stitched, with soft-yellow-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around the ivory, text, patterned paper's edges and dressed up the right side of the prepped piece with a strip of brown lace, as well as a length of Crumb Cake ribbon, which I tied, in a bow, near the top edge of the prepped piece and embellished with a couple of hemp twine bows and a vintage brad, before adhering the entire thing, with foam tape, to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
Finally, I stamped the blossoms, in Jet Black ink, on white cardstock; colored them, as well as the vase, which also was given a dose of Crystal Effects for shine, in with colored pencils and mineral spirits; dressed up their centers with a touch of Soft Suede ink; hand cut them out; ink distressed their edges with Tea Dye & Antique Linen inks; and adhered them, with foam tape, above the stamped stems, to complete the look.
Now, it's your turn!  Here's your inspiration board to help get you started.
You're playing for a MSS stamp set of your choice, valued at $15 or less.  Can't beat that!  And you have until the close of the day CST, on Monday, August 20, 2012, to link up your takes over at the challenge link above.  Please also use that link to check out what the rest of the MSS girls have been up to with this color story.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful Wednesday, ya'll!
