Papercraft Star 106: Maps

Note: If you've come here looking for my Paper Sweeties: Peek post, please scroll down.

So glad to have y'all visiting for Papercraft Star's Challenge 106: Maps!  Oooo!  And this was a fun one!  I went hunting through my patterned papers, because I have not one stamp that boasts a map, and not only found a map paper, but also a couple of map-themed embellishments that seemed to work their way in beautifully.  Check it out!
I started this card by topping that map, patterned paper with a soft pink, houndstooth, patterned paper and filling the space between them with a die-cut strip of Oatmeal cardstock, as well as a filmstrip, cardstock, sticker embellishment.
I then tucked a soft pink, "No. 00001", cardstock sticker, sideways, in the top right corner of the design; framed everything with a piece of Old Olive cardstock; and machine stitched, with black-threaded, straight stitches, around the combined piece's edges, before adhering it to the kraft, cardstock, card face.
The soft pink, map tag was cut from patterned paper; ink distressed; embellished with a Pool Party, seam binding ribbon bow, which, in turn, was embellished with a black button, laced with a duet of hemp twine bows, as well as a black and white twist tie; and adhered, in its respective location, with foam tape.
One final, map piece comes into play with the cardstock, sticker location of the "smile" sentiment, which was stamped, in Jet Black ink, in its center.  It was then adhered in and overlapping the bottom right side of the map tag and topped with the camera, which was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of white cardstock; colored in with colored pencils and mineral spirits; hand cut out; adhered with foam tape; and dressed up with a little Crystal Effect for the lends, as well as a touch of glitter for the flash.
Now, it's your turn!  Here's your inspiration pic to help get you stared on those old, city, world, country, treasure, etc. map creations.
You have until Monday, August 6, 2012, at 6:00 am EST, to link up your takes, over at the challenge link above, in order to be in the running to win digital sheets from our permanent sponsor, The House Across the Bay.
Please also use that link to check out what the rest of the team has been up to.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a blessed Wednesday!
