Wplus9 Aug./Sept. Release: Day 3

Monday, August 6, 2012

Welcome back!  I hope you're just lovin' what you've been seeing for Wplus9 Design's August/September Release!  We've got a couple of Pretty Patches stamp sets and their Pretty Patches coordinating dies to share, with you all, today.  I stuck with Pretty Patches: Pumpkin for today's cutie, but I hope you'll come on back, on Thursday, for Group Post Day, to see what I've done with Pretty Patches: Apple.
I started this card by piecing together a few of those fabulous castoffs, from yesterday's layout, onto a piece of Oatmeal cardstock.  I'm thinking the rest need to find their way onto a layout ;).  I then trimmed it, across its bottom edge, with a strip of olive, floral cardstock, which I stamped, in Basic Black ink, with the "MAY YOUR BLESSINGS BE PLENTY, your friends by many, and the spirit of the season fill your heart & home." sentiment (DIVINE!)...
framed the prepped piece with a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock; and machine stitched, with brown-threaded, straight stitches, around the completed piece's edges.
It was then wrapped, just above the sentiment panel, with a length of Pool Party, seam binding ribbon, which I tied, in a bow, near the left edge of the prepped piece and embellished with an orange button, laced with a couple of hemp twine bows, before being adhered, with foam tape, to the kraft, cardstock, card face.
The pumpkin was then stamped, in Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, and Chocolate Chip inks, on an Oatmeal, cardstock die cut; given a stamped, in Lucky Limeade ink, on an Oatmeal, cardstock die cut, leaf; and embellished with a red, heart button, laced with hemp twine.  There's a really sweet, heart stamp that fits perfectly in the pumpkin's center, but I couldn't resist this little, heart button.  It was then backed with a die cut, from Oatmeal cardstock, pinking square, which I ink distressed and filled in with the stamped, in Pool Party ink, quilt square.  There you get a little peek of Country Charm, but I've got more where that comes from coming on Thursday.  Then, the pinking square was backed with a die cut, from a red, polka dot, patterned paper, banner, before being adhered, with foam tape, in the top center of the card face, to complete the look.
Tomorrow's the big reveal, y'all!  You'll get to see all that this release has to offer in its entirety.  Please remember to stop by to see what the rest of the team has been creating, and once again, be sure to get your name in, over at the Design Blog, for your chance to win goodies from this month's release.  Be blessed!
