MSS Block Party

Note: If you've come here looking for my Paper Sweeties: Pre-Release post, please scroll down.

It's that time again!  Time for Market Street Stamps' September Block Party, and I've created a sweet, girly, little number, for your viewing pleasure, today.  Enjoy!
I started this card by stamping a piece of Bashful Blue cardstock, in White ink, with the lace background.  I then stamped its top left corner, in Chocolate Chip and Certainly Celery inks, with the branch and its leaves; layered two die cut, from neutral, patterned papers, pennants, horizontally, across the center of the stamped piece; adhered it to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face; and machine stitched, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around its outside edges.
It's bottom left corner was then stamped, vertically, in Jet Black and Pretty in Pink inks, with the "you're such a sweetie!" sentiment and heart...
before wrapping the card face with a length of torn, pink, polka dot fabric, which I tied into a dressy bow and embellished with a crystal button, laced with a couple of hemp twine bows.
Another branch, with leaves, was then stamped, in the same way as above, on a circle of Whisper White cardstock; topped with the stamped, in Jet Black ink, and paper-pieced birds, whose beaks got a touch of Only Orange ink; framed with a die cut, from Pink Pirouette cardstock, scalloped circle; and adhered, just to the top right of the embellished bow and over the die cut pennants, with foam tape.  A touch of glitter, for the leaves, completes the look.
Inspiration for this card came from The Shabby Tea Room's Week #131: Creative Candy...
and Mojo Monday's Sketch 258.
Now, it's your turn, and we'd just love to have you join us!  Create any new project, using MSS stamps.  It can be anything (cards, layouts, altered items, etc.).  Be creative, and have FUN!  Then, link up your project, at the Market Street Stamps Blog, by Sunday, September 16, 2012, at 11:59 pm CST.  One randomly selected participant will win an awesome prize package full of yummy stamps and accessories!  And one show stoppin' papercrafter will be asked to join us for a Guest Designer spot for the month of October.
So, get creating, y'all!  And thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a blessed, inky weekend!
