Well, hello there! I hope you all are having a blessed week! We're plugging right along and looking forward to a trip, to Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, for the Map As Art Exhibition, tomorrow. But until then, I've got about a hundred things to do. So, let's just jump right into the reason for this post, which is a sweet, little number I have featured, on the Market Street Stamps Blog, this morning. Enjoy!
I started this card by embossing the kraft, cardstock, card face with the chevron design and distressing its edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks. A piece of white cardstock, which had its top corners rounded, was stamped, in Lucky Limeade, Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, and Chocolate Chip inks, with the trees.
I then trimmed it, below, with a strip of floral, patterned paper, as well as a strip of Barely Banana cardstock, which had been stamped, in Daffodil Delight ink, with the gingham background and, in Chocolate Chip ink, with the "How are things in your neck of the woods?" sentiment.
A length of soft green, fringed ribbon was then wrapped, around the prepped piece, between the stamped, yellow cardstock and patterned paper and tied, in a bow, near its left edge, before adhering the prepped piece, with foam tape, to the card face. The bird and house were stamped, in Jet Black ink, on white cardstock;
colored in with colored pencils and mineral spirits; hand cut out; and
adhered, with foam tape, in their respective locations. A little
glitter, for the sweet bird, completes the look.
That's all, for today, folks! Thanks so much for peeking in, and have a truly wonderful Wednesday!
