Paper Sweeties: Post Release

Saturday, September 15, 2012

We've all got one more project, to share with you all, today, to help close out this month's release; but I hope you've already got these cuties coming to your mailbox, with FREE shipping to boot, as they are officially available for purchase in the Paper Sweeties Shoppe.  Woohoo!
The colors of this card were inspired by my alma mater, Emporia State University.  They ground the design, by way of the patterned papers, with their patchwork background, which was anchored, to the Basic Black, cardstock, card face, with black-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitches.
The bottom left corner was then stamped, vertically and in Jet Black ink, with the "I'm Your Biggest Fan, Congratulations" sentiment.
I then wrapped a length of black, gingham ribbon, vertically, around the card face; tied it, in a bow, near the top edge of the card face; and embellished it with a yellow button, laced with a couple of hemp twine bows.
Emma was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a white, cardstock rectangle, which was framed with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches; colored in with colored pencils and mineral spirits; dressed with a cheerleading uniform, which was made in the same way as above and hand cut out; and given a white, yarn pom-pom, which was created in the same way as I did back here.  A trio of scattered, yellow gemstones completes the look.
That's all, for this month, folks; but the rest of the team has whipped up some beauties to share with you all, and I know that they'd really appreciate a visit.  Plus, it's always so fun to see the whole lineup on the Paper Sweeties Blog.  We'd also really love to see what you're making in our Paper Sweeties Flickr Pool, as well as our Pinterest Boards and/or online gallery at Paper Craft Planet.  Finally, thank you so much for all the love you've lavished upon me throughout this release and always.  I read and treasure each and every morsel.  What a joy it is to get to do what I love!  Be blessed!

Sooo cute Jinny! The images from Paper Sweeties are wonderful! I'm just afraid of the coloring part. I would never do it justice. You on the other hand did a fabulous job coloring this paper sweetie. :)
