Celebrating WCMD With Paper Sweeties

Happy World Card Making Day, y'all!  It's the perfect day for crafting here at a balmy 42 degrees.  Although, it's more of the fabric, rather than the paper, kind of crafting in my neck of the woods.  My baby girl needs a new dress for my brother's wedding here in a couple of weeks.  But I did get creative, with my new Paper Sweeties, earlier this week and wanted to share a sweet, little number, boasting three stamp sets that will be available for purchase on October 15, 2012.  I hope you like!
I started this card by stamping my images, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of White cardstock.  I then colored a portion of the created scene with colored pencils and mineral spirits and paper-pieced the rest.  Before popping a couple of the clouds up with foam tape, I stamped the "You're the Pick of the Patch" sentiment, in Jet Black ink, over all pieced layers.
I then ink distressed everything with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; framed the scene with Certainly Celery cardstock; and adhered it to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.  A punched, from patterned paper, strip of grass was then adhered across the bottom of the framed scene, and another punched strip was popped up, over the wagon wheels, which were created from black, glitter brads, with foam tape.  A little glitter for the pumpkins...
and a green dahlia to dress up Emma's wrap, completes the look.
That's all, for today, folks!  But I hope you'll be sure to stop by the Paper Sweeties Blog to see what a heap of talented card makers have whipped up, just for your viewing pleasure, too.  Then, please join us, on October 14, 2012, for the start of a fabulous, fall release that you just won't want to miss!  Also, in honor of World Card Making Day, Paper Sweeties is offering ‘FREE SHIPPING’ on all orders placed, in the Sweeties Shoppe, today!  Please use the coupon code at checkout to redeem your discount.  Happy shopping!
