MSS Block Party

Note: If you've come here looking for my Wplus9 Oct./Nov. Release: Group Post post, please scroll down.

Morning, y'all!  I hope that you've had a terrific week!  Ours has been much crazier than I wanted it to be.  So, I'm extra looking forward to a relaxing weekend at home.  But before that can begin, we've got an October Block Party for all you Market Street Stamps fans.  Woohoo!  Most of you have probably already read, in our Market Mail, that this month's release, which included six, fall sets, designed by the talented Stephanie Washburn and Julie Day, went on as planned, however without samples from our design team.  Well, my new goodies arrived the middle of this week, and I didn't waste a minute diving in.  Enjoy!
I started this card by stamping the pumpkins, in White ink, on an ink distressed piece of Kraft cardstock; framing it with a piece of Black cardstock; and machine stitching, with black-threaded, straight stitches, around its edges.  I then stamped the crow, in Jet Black ink, in the bottom left corner of a piece of ink distressed, text, patterned paper...
trimmed its right side with a layered, using a mustard, flourish, patterned paper and Black cardstock, pennant, whose edges were framed with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches; adhered the prepped piece near the right side of the stamped, pumpkin cardstock; and topped it with a stamped, in Chocolate Chip ink, "Fall Blessings" sentiment.
A length of ivory lace was then adhered, across the prepped piece, just below horizontal center and topped with a length of brown, gingham ribbon, which I tied, in a bow, near the left edge of the prepped piece and embellished with an orange button, laced with a couple of hemp twine bows, before adhering the prepped piece, with foam tape, to the Oatmeal, cardstock, card face.
The tree image was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, on vellum; hand cut out; adhered, with foam tape, just to the right of the embellished bow; and glittered.  A trio of stamped, in Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, and Pumpkin Pie inks, on White cardstock and hand cut leaves complete the look.
Further inspiration for this card came from Do You Stack Up's Challenge #92: Warm Colors and The Shabby Tea Room's Week #134: Sketch This.
Now, it's your turn!  Just create any new project, using MSS stamps.  It can be anything (cards, layouts, altered items, etc.).  Be creative, and have FUN!  Then, link up your project, at the Market Street Stamps Blog, by Sunday, October 7, 2012, at 11:59 pm CST.  One randomly selected participant will win an awesome prize package full of yummy stamps and accessories!  And one show stoppin' papercrafter will be asked to join us, as a Guest Designer, for the month of November.
So, get creating, y'all; and have an absolutely terrific, World Card Making Day weekend!
