MSS November Release Blog Hop Day 1

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

Welcome to Market Street Stamps November Release Blog Hop!  You should be arriving here via Stephanie Muzzulin's Blog.  If not, or if you ever get lost along the way, there is a complete hop list over at the Market Street Stamps Blog.  And please take note that all the stamp sets you see featured over the next couple of days are currently available, in the Marketplace, at 15% off.  Yea!  Okay, today, I have the privilege of sharing a card creation, with you all, boasting two sets, illustrated by Julie Day, Mini Holiday Backgrounds and Reason for the Season.  Enjoy!
I started this card by stamping the starry background, in Faded Jeans and Concord Crush inks, on a piece of White cardstock that was just slightly larger than the image itself in order to create a make-shift frame and which was later distressed, and gold embossing the larger star images, barn frame, and manger.
The "Let us adore Him" sentiment was stamped, in Jet Black ink, vertically, along the top left corner of the background stamp.  Gosh, I adore this font!
I then set it aside to prep the card base, which was created from Perfect Plum cardstock.  Its center was decked out with a piece of white, embossed, patterned paper, which was framed with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches and given a little texture with a rough layer of cheesecloth.  A length of sheer, navy ribbon, wrapped around the horizontal center of the card face; tied, in a bow, near the right edge of the card face; and embellished with a white, string bow, anchored by a lone pearl, preps the card base for the previously stamped scene, which was adhered, in its respective location, with foam tape.
Now, off you go to continue your hop at Stephanie Washburn's Blog.  And be sure to leave lots of love, along the way, for your chance to win today's featured stamp sets.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a truly terrific Tuesday!  And don't forget to get out there and VOTE!
