Paper Sweeties Nov. Release: Day 1

Monday, November 12, 2012

Happy Monday, y'all!  I'm back, with the Paper Sweeties team, to show off eight, all-new, Christmas, stamp sets, known as our November Release.  Woohoo!  The links for the older sets I've used and the names of all the new can be found in my {Supplies & Tools} section at the bottom of each and every post throughout the release.  Without further adieu, let's dive right in!
I started this card by stamping the top center of a piece of aqua, berry, patterned paper, in Jet Black ink, with the "All I Want For Christmas is You!" sentiment; adhering it in the center of the 5-1/4" x 4-3/4", Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face; and machine stitching, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around its edges.
I then adhered a length of white lace, across the card face, just above horizontal center and topped it with a length of turquoise, seam binding ribbon, which I tied in a dressy bow and embellished with a red Sparklet, as well as a pearl stick pin, which was dressed up with a hemp twine bow and pierced through an ink distressed, White, cardstock tag, which was stamped, in Tempting Turquoise ink, with the tag frame and the "Christmas Blessings" sentiment and hand cut out.
Sophie and the toy bag were then stamped on a square of White cardstock, and Jake, all the clothing, and the shoes were stamped on a separate piece of White cardstock.  The clothing was also stamped on a piece of red, plaid, patterned paper.  Then, everything was colored with colored pencils and mineral spirits; hand cut out; paper-pieced; given just the right amount of detail with Crystal Effects for the boots and belt and fine glitter for all the fabric trimmings; and adhered, flush or with foam tape, to the cardstock surface.
Finally, the prepped centerpiece was framed with a piece of Ruby Red cardstock; machine stitched, with red-threaded, straight stitches, around its edges; and adhered, in the center of the card face, with foam tape, just to the left of the embellished bow and below the stamped sentiment.
I'm also thrilled to share that I had a Veterans Day Thank You Card, boasting little Jake all decked out in his military dress, featured on the Weekly Scrapper Blog, yesterday, to honor those who have selflessly and heroically served in our military, both past and present.  And I'd just be tickled pink if you'd run check it out.  Thank you!
And thank you, too, for stopping by!  Please don't forget to check out what the rest of the team has been up to or all the happenings on the Paper Sweeties Blog.  Then, I hope to see you all back here, tomorrow, at the same time and place, to see more of what this month's release has to offer.  Hugs!
