Paper Sweeties Nov. Release: Day 2

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Welcome back to Paper Sweeties November Release, y'all!  Eeek!  I'm so excited to show you a little more of what Debbie has to offer all you talented papercrafty people!  I used an oldie but a goodie, Giddyup!, to highlight today's creation.  Enjoy!
I started this card by stamping a piece of ink distressed, Oatmeal cardstock, in Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, and Early Espresso inks, near its far right side, with the Christmas tree image.  The star was later given a touch of shine with Lemonade glitter.
I then trimmed its left side with a die cut strip of White cardstock, as well as a stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the holly images and colored, with colored pencils and mineral spirits, piece of Certainly Celery cardstock, which was overlain with a sheet of vellum.  The prepped piece was then framed with a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and machine stitched, with pink-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around its edges; before I stamped the vellum sheet, in Jet Black ink, vertically, along its left side, with the "Unwrap The Magic of Christmas" sentiment.
A length of pink ribbon was then wrapped, vertically, around the prepped piece, between the die cut edge and stamped tree piece and tied, in a bow, near its top edge.  It was then embellished with a red, gingham, ribbon bow; a snowflake charm; and a red button, laced with a couple of Baker's Twine bows; before the entire prepped piece was adhered, with foam tape, to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.
Finally, I stamped the toys, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of White cardstock; masked them off; stamped the hat, in Jet Black ink, just under the toys, on that same piece of White cardstock; colored them all in with colored pencils and mineral spirits; and adhered the hat, with foam tape, just below the stick horse, which had been stamped directly onto the card face itself.  However, I did paper-piece the stick horse's head.
That's all, for today, folks!  Once again, please be sure to stop by the Paper Sweeties Blog, as well as the rest of the team's blogs, to see what everyone has been up to today.  Then, come on back for yet another day of November Release creations, at the same time and place, tomorrow.  Oh!  And tomorrow, too, is the big day!  You'll be able to get your inky, little fingers on each and every one of this month's brand spankin' new stamp sets.  Woohoo!  Until then, happy stamping, y'all!
