Paper Sweeties Nov. Release Party

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Today's the big day, y'all!  All eight of this month's stamps sets are available, even as this post goes live, in the Paper Sweeties Shoppe.  Boy, I can't wait to see what you all cook up with them!  But before that, please hang in for another cutie from me ;).
I started this card by stamping the Sweeties Stand, in Jet Black ink, near the bottom left corner of the ink distressed, Oatmeal, cardstock, card face.  I then paper-pieced the awning, as well as the woodgrain base and White, cardstock sign, which was stamped, in Jet Black ink, with "Wreaths For Sale".  I then masked off the stand and stamped Abigail, in Jet Black ink, sitting behind it.  She was colored with colored pencils and mineral spirits and dressed with a stamped, in Jet Black ink, on yellow, stitched, patterned paper and hand cut out poncho.  With the exception of the steamy cup, which was stamped, in Jet Black ink, right on the card face itself and the wagon, which was paper-pieced, the other elements were all stamped, in Jet Black ink, on White cardstock; colored in with colored pencils and mineral spirits; and adhered, flush or with foam tape, to the card face.
The wagon was given a couple of brown, button wheels, laced with hemp twine, and its packages were dressed up with glitter.
I also added a touch of glitter to the ribbons on the wreaths and Crystal Effects not only for their berries, but also for the "Hot Cocoa" pitcher.
Finally, and just before the wreaths were anchored to the card face, I stamped the "Holiday Greetings Celebrate Each Day" sentiment, in Jet Black ink, in the top center of the card face and the mistletoe, which was also detailed with a white gel pen, in Old Olive ink, hanging from either side of the stand.
Now, run get 'em, while they're hot, folks!  And please don't forget to stop by the Paper Sweeties Blog, as well as the rest of the team's blogs to see so much more of what Paper Sweeties, this November, has to offer.  Then, we've got one more day of creations, coming your way, tomorrow.  So, I hope to see you all back very soon.  Have a blessed day!
