Paper Sweeties Dec. Post Release

Saturday, December 15, 2012

So glad you stopped by for one last creation, boasting more of Paper Sweeties' December release!  I hope you've scooped up some cuties and are anxiously awaiting their arrival to your mailboxes.  Before I get to what I have, to share with you all, today, I just wanted to say thank you for your daily visits and words of encouragement.  I'm so glad that you love these Sweeties as much as I do ;)!  Now, how about that final card?
I started this card by stamping the Sweeties Stand, in Jet Black ink, in the top left corner of the ink distressed, Oatmeal, cardstock, card face.  I then paper-pieced it together with aqua woodgrain and polka dot, patterned papers; added a stamped, in Jet Black ink, on White cardstock, "Sweeties Stand" sign; and hung a pair of colored with colored pencils and mineral spirits and hand cut ice skates, hanging, from the awning, with a length of white string, tied in a bow.  These are the same boots Sophie was wearing on Day 2 of this release.  They just have the blades stamped with them this time.  LOVE the options!
Jake was stamped, in Jet Black ink, sitting behind the stand and next to a pile of snowballs, which were stamped on White cardstock and hand cut out.  Both elements were then colored with colored pencils and mineral spirits, and Jake was dressed with a stamped, in Jet Black ink, on orange, chevron, patterned paper, sweater, while the snowballs received a healthy dose of glitter.
The "A Little Dash of Winter Cheer" sentiment was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, in the center of a strip of vellum, which was anchored, horizontally, near the bottom of the card face, with turquoise-threaded, straight, machine stitches, just for a little added texture.
Finally, I stamped the "SNOWBALLS FOR SALE" sign, once again, in Jet Black ink and on White cardstock; colored it in with colored pencils and mineral spirits; hand cut it out; adhered it, with foam tape, just to the right of the Sweeties Stand; and added just a touch of glitter to its pile of snow.
That wraps up another month of all-new Sweeties.  Thanks so much for joining in all the fun!  Please don't forget that we've got a Sketch Inspiration Challenge #2 going on, until the close of the month, for your chance to win two free stamp sets.  Can't wait to see what you all cook up!
