Wplus9 Dec./Jan. Release: Reveal

Monday, December 3, 2012

Today's the big reveal, y'all!  But before I get to that and just because you stopped by for a little visit ;), I've got another creation, using more from this amazing release.
I started this card by piecing together the ivory text and turquoise, heart, patterned papers; stamping the ivory, text, patterned paper, just above the two papers' connection, in Riding Hood Red ink, with the row of open, circular hearts; adhering the prepped piece to the Kraft, cardstock, card face; and machine stitching, with white-threaded, straight stitches, around their combined edges.  I then stamped each of the little banner pieces, in Riding Hood Red ink, on Oatmeal cardstock; hand cut them out; ink distressed their edges; and anchored them, across the bottom center of the card face, with white-threaded, straight, machine stitches, tied off, to the front of the card face, at either end.
A length of sheer, red, polka dot ribbon was wrapped, around the horizontal center of the card face, just below the stamped hearts; tied, in a bow, near the left edge of the card face; and embellished with a red Sparklet.
I then stuffed a red, chevron pocket with a piece of strategically-cut, White cardstock, which had been topped with a red button, laced with Baker's Twine, for a little, secret message and adhered it, with foam tape, in the center of the card face, just above the stamped banner.
The "I QUITE LIKE YOU a lot" sentiment was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, in the center of a die cut from Oatmeal cardstock, embossed with polka dots, and ink distressed heart, which was adhered, in its respective location, with foam tape and anchored with a die cut, from Cupid's Arrow cardstock, arrow.  Finally, I flanked each side of the sentiment heart with stamped, in stamped-off, just for a little softer approach, Tempting Turquoise ink, on ink distressed, Oatmeal, cardstock die cuts, damask flourishes, which received a kiss of glitter.
Now, here's what Dawn has in store, for you creative types, this month.
