City Crafter Week 146

Monday, February 18, 2013

Happy Monday, y'all!  I've got lots of pictures, to share with you all, of our weekend; but they're going to have to wait until tomorrow, as I've been having lots of fun playing with My Mind's Eye's new Collectable: Memorable collection.  And it's utterly delicious!  Check it out!

I started this card by trimming the left side of a piece of aqua, polka dot, patterned paper with two lengths of the days of the week banners...

and its top edge with a die cut, across its top edge, aqua, stripe, patterned paper.  Everything was then anchored, to the Kraft, cardstock, card face, with white-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitches.

I then adhered a dimensional, arrow sticker, vertically, down the center of the card face and wrapped the card face, horizontally, three times, with hemp twine, which I tied, in a double bow, near the right edge of the card face.

The "LIFE IS GOOD WHEN I'M WITH YOU", sentiment die cut was adhered, with foam tape, over all previous layers and just to the left of the hemp twine bows.  I then created lots of little flowers from layered, die cut, felt shapes; buttons, laced with white thread; a resin flower and chipboard element; and die cut, felt leaves and adhered them in their respective locations to complete the look.

Inspiration for this card came from City Crafter Challenge Blog's Week 146: You Felt It!
I'm off to get the breakfast dishes cleaned up, make the beds, change over the washing, hopefully sneak in a little creative time, write Ezekiel's next history test... Well, I'd better just stop chatting about it and get right to it, because that list is never ending.  Have a fantastic work week, y'all!
