SIT #103

We're back with the third and final Sketches in Thyme challenge of the month, which means that it's a two-pager.  But for the first time EVER, I was inspired to turn it into one.  Here's what I did, using this month's JBS Mercantile Papercrafting Kit.
I started this layout by cutting the star stencil background, from the embossed and sanded, yellow, cardstock, base page, using my Cameo and the cut file that comes with this month's JBS Papercrafting Kit.
I then backed each of the cuts with a variety of color-coordinating, patterned papers, before anchoring two more patterned papers, as well as a "NOTED", journaling card, side by side, horizontally, just below the center of the base page, with double, black-threaded, straight, machine stitches and used the latter to journal, Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, We had such a great time during our first trip to the OK City Zoo.  I cannot even begin to explain how much I relish these precious moments, when we can all be together.  I just love these people to bits!
A portion of a vintage ballot was tucked under the top edges of the two, patterned, paper rectangles; and a mini, kraft, polka dot envelope was adhered overlapping their bottom edges, before tucking my photo strip, vertically, between the two, patterned papers.
I then tucked a paper doily, as well as green, vintage, gang tags, laced with green Baker's Twine, tied in a bow, under the left side of my photographs and topped them with an "ADVENTURE THIS WAY", cardstock, sticker arrow and a stamped, in Pool Party ink, on Whisper White cardstock, jar, which was wrapped with a length of hemp twine, tied in a bow, and embellished with an aqua, resin flower, flanked with two, green, leaf sequins.
And here's this week's Challenge #103 sketch to get you started.
I used just the right side of the sketch for my page.  Looking forward to paying you all a little visit to see what you've got up your sleeves for all of February's challenges!  Don't forget that you have until the close of the month, on Thursday, February 28, 2013, to link up your takes, on Challenge #101, Challenge #102, and/or this week's Challenge #103, in the right hand column of the Sketches in Thyme Blog, in order to be in the running to guest design with us during the month of April.  Thanks so much for peeking in, and have a blessed day!
