Wplus9 Feb./Mar. Release: Group Post

Monday, February 4, 2013

Welcome to Wplus9 Design's Group Post day!  You've made it, and I'm absolutely thrilled to share one, final card with you all!  But be sure that this won't be the end of these beauties from me.  I've got some new favorites, and although I ran out of time to create more projects for this release, they're all still calling my name ;).  Today's creation shows a little more of what not only three of this month's stamp sets, but also three of this month's dies, with the addition of a couple of oldies but goodies, can do.  Here goes!
I started this card by trimming the center of a piece of aqua, distressed, patterned paper with a strip of bright pink, text, patterned paper.  I then flanked that center piece with two, stamped, in Jet Black ink, on vellum, lacy borders and anchored everything, to a piece of Barely Banana cardstock, with white-threaded, straight and zig-zag, machine stitches.  A length of scrumptious, black, stripe ribbon was wrapped, vertically, around the center of the prepped piece and tied, in a bow, near its top edge; before the entire thing was adhered, with foam tape, to the, at the sake of being predictable ;), Kraft, cardstock, card face.
The "happy birthday" sentiment was stamped, in Melon Mambo ink, in the center of the ink distressed, White, cardstock, die cut label; framed with stamped, in Pool Party ink, floral vines, which were embellished with black pearls; flanked with a couple more, stamped, in Barely Banana ink, petite flowers; and adhered, with foam tape, just below the ribbon bow.
I then die cut all felt pieces of the finishing flower, machine and hand-stitched them together, and flanked the resulting piece with stamped, in Jet Black ink, berry vines, which were filled in with Basic Black ink, hand cut out, and given a touch of shine with Crystal Effects.
Please be sure to check out with the rest of the girls have been up to, and thank you so much for all the love you've lavished upon me this release.  I just love hearing from stampers that love Wplus9 Design!  Until next time, be blessed!  Now, off you go to get these beauties, while they're hot!  Hugs!
