Hey, y'all!  We're back, at Color Combos Galore, with not only another, scrumptious, color palette, but also a brand spankin' new Design Team.  I hope you'll stop by the site and give each of these uber talented ladies a warm welcome!
Without further adieu, here's how I was inspired this week.
I started this layout by layering a quartet of patterned papers, over a sheet of vellum and tucked in amongst an alphabet, cardstock, sticker strip, on the ink distressed, book print, base page and anchoring a couple of them with brown-threaded, straight, machine stitches.  I then tucked an ink distressed and die cut, from Bordering Blue cardstock, with my Cameo, "BOOK." stencil card near the top of the papers...
and a hand cut, from patterned paper, journaling card, which was used to journal, You were just head-over-heels excited, when Miss Becky gave you a box full of her grown son's old books.  You started sorting right away and couldn't have been more thrilled to discover a few Hardy Boys, near the bottom.
I then created my long, "There is no friend as loyal as a book. -Hemingway" title with gray Alphabeans and brown, block letters.
My photos were then matted with Whisper White cardstock and adhered in their respective locations.  The left photo was topped with a notebook, zig-zag, cardstock sticker and wrapped with a length of brown Baker's Twine, tied in a bow.  Finally, I trimmed a chipboard button with a couple of ledger tags and anchored it, with hemp twine, in the bottom left corner of the left photo; dressed up its right side with a "TODAY'S DATE IS", cardstock sticker, which I used to etch the January 23, 2012, date, as well as a "TALL TALES", cardstock, sticker arrow, mounted with foam tape; and topped it with a vintage, birdie trinket, secured with a few, hemp twine stitches.
Further inspiration for this layout came from Creative Scrappers' Sketch #249.
And here's this week's Inspiration Board #234 to get you started.
I was inspired by Inspiration Photo #3 to Focus on Technique: Inked Edges but also to pull in a few vintage elements by that fabulous mailbox.  Okay, y'all, now it's your turn.  You have until the close of the month, on Sunday, March 31, 2013, to add your projects, tagged CCG234, to our photo gallery.  Looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful creations!  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a fabulous weekend!
