Hey y'all!  It's Friday!  And I'm here, once again, to bring you a brand spankin' new palette from Color Combos Galore.
I started this page by using my Cameo to cut three different sizes of leaves from the kraft, vintage, advertisement, base page, which had been distressed with a little, white, acrylic paint.  A bunch of little, dotted circles were then stamped, in White ink, throughout the design, but I later added glitter to them to help them stand out a bit more.
A red, "2", cardstock sticker was adhered flush with the top edge of the layout and just right of vertical center and used to journal, "2" days old, November 3, 2008.  I then layered a torn, down both its long sides, strip of vellum, which had also been stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the text, running over onto the base page itself, and clear embossed with whimsical leaves, near the design's vertical center.  It was then anchored, along with a strip of denim, patterned paper, which can be found near the bottom left corner of the design, as well as the "2" sticker, with white-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitches.
My photos were then matted with Whisper White cardstock and adhered in their respective location, tucked between a large, Cameo-cut, woodgrain, patterned, paper leaf and a trio of stamped, in Jet Black ink, on White cardstock, colored with pencils and mineral spirits, hand cut out, and glittered mushrooms.
Above the photos' top edge, I tucked a "notes" journaling card, which I had rounded the top corners of; used it to journal, Out for your 1st walk around the neighborhood; and flanked it with another, little, Cameo-cut leaf, as well as a punched from Kraft cardstock, ink distressed, and stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the "Awww" phrase jewelry tag.  Both of the latter, as well as the handful of other Cameo-cut leaves, throughout the design, were secured with staples.  LOVE my expression in this photo!  Tee hee!  I was thinking, "Just take the picture already."  LOL!
Finally, I created my "HELLO world" title cluster, beginning with that yummy jar.  It was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on vellum; hand cut out; labeled with a stamped, in Riding Hood Red ink, on White cardstock and hand cut label; and stuffed with a couple of die-cut, from White cardstock, branches.  I also wrapped the mouth of the jar with hemp twine, laced it through a crystal button, and used it to anchor my title banner.
Speaking of the latter, I created the individual pennants, by simply tracing onto an ivory, text, patterned paper, using a template, and hand cutting them out.  I then secured the denim alphas in their centers, adhered them in their respective locations, and anchored their right end with a gray button, laced with hemp twine.  The "HELLO" cardstock sticker was then tucked in between the jar's die-cut branches and the banner itself to complete the look.
Further inspiration for this layout came from ScrapFriends' Monthly Sketch #7, Lasting Memories' Challenge #130: "TAG" You're It!, and The Studio's March 3rd Recipe Challenge.  And here's this week's Inspiration Board #236 to get you started.
I was inspired by Inspiration Photo #1 Focus on Trend: Banners, right down to the lettering on top of it, but I was also inspired to bring in that jar in both the shape of my torn vellum and the stamped image.  I even mimicked the same, red-framed label, on my stamped jar, as the one in the photo.  Mine just runs horizontally, rather than vertically.  Inspiration Photo #2 drew me in with those gorgeous, fall leaves and the thought of being out for a walk, enjoying that crisp, fall weather.  And all the woodgrain in my layout was inspired by the tabletop in Inspiration Photo #4.  Even all the text, on my page, was inspired by that row of books.  Did you get all that ;)?  Can't wait to see what you all cook up!  Please add your projects, tagged CCG236, to our photo gallery by Sunday, March 31, 2013.  Thanks so much for peeking in, and have a super, terrific weekend!
