TGIF!  I just LOVE that our weekend calendar has nothing scheduled for the first time in months.  Hopefully, that gives me plenty of time to work on my baby girl's Easter dress ;).  But while that says everything about springtime, my take, on this week's Color Combos Galore palette, is all about more of the same kind of winter weather we're getting even as this post goes live.  Enjoy!
I started this layout by stamping a bunch of little stars, in Marina Mist ink, around where the photographs would be placed and anchoring a large, die-cut, from aqua, polka dot, patterned paper, snowflake, with white-threaded, straight, machine stitches, near the bottom right corner of the grid, patterned, paper, base page.  I then layered lots of bits and pieces of scrumptious, patterned papers and vellum, over its bottom right corner, to ground my photos, which were matted with Whisper White cardstock and topped with a vintage, gang tag and punched, from pink, stripe, patterned paper, hearts, which were anchored with white-threaded, straight, machine stitches, tied off, to the front of the layout, at either end.
Another hand-cut, pink, scallop strip was anchored, with machine stitches, near the bottom of the photos, in the same way as above, before stamping the "FEB 25 2013" date, next to a row of hearts, just below them.
A couple, little clusters of white string, as well as an aqua, cardstock sticker, labeled, Ezekiel 9-1/2 yrs. and Adina 4 yrs....
and a white bag, which was stuffed with a green, star tag, laced with a hemp twine bow, were tucked in behind them.
I then created the "snow BABIES" title from raspberry alphas and aqua, glitter letters.
A pink, "cute" sticker and handful of scattered, pink, heart sequins complete the bulk of the design; and a turquoise, journaling card, which I used to journal, I know you're no longer tiny or helpless, but you'll always be my beautiful babies, was adhered near and overlapping the top edge of the design and dressed up with a woodgrain button, laced with hemp twine, as well as a raspberry, "PERFECT", cardstock sticker.
Further inspiration for this layout came from Stuck's March 15th Sketch.
And here's this week's Inspiration Board #237 to get you started.
I was inspired by Inspiration Photo #1 to Focus on Tools: Die Cutting.  I was also inspired to pull in a number of different colors and mixes of fonts and patterns by Inspiration Photos #2 and #3.  Inspiration Photo #4 inspired me to "float" those little hearts all about and pull in lots of nearly invisible string.  Please link up those takes, tagged CCG237, to our photo gallery, by Sunday, March 31, 2013, and have a terrific weekend!
