Family Update

Well, hello there.  So glad you stopped by to see what we've been up to.  We started our Spring Break last Thursday and have been enjoying every minute of the pause from our regular routine.  We've been to the library, done a little shopping, made dinner for a friend who just had a baby, watched some great movies and a lot of basketball ;), ate lunch with friends, and of course, spent lots of time just playing.  We also paid our first visit to KidScape, which is a hands-on exhibit, designed to teach kids about community.
We were supposed to have dinner with friends on Saturday night, but mother nature had other plans, which left us with a scrumptious Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake, that I was supposed to bring, to eat all by ourselves.  Too bad we love cheesecake so much ;).
Then, of course, there's been all that snow.  I know it's supposed to be springtime, and we've had a lot more snow than usual this year, but I LOVE it!
We've been practicing lots for our big, Easter egg hunt, too.  My kiddos spend hours and hours hiding for each other and hunting every spring.  So fun!  Oh!  And don't mind the mangled, bunny ears ;).
Finally, this morning, we had the privilege of seeing the musical Chicken Little, at the Theater for Young America, with some dear friends.
We'll be back to school on Thursday but are trying to make every day off count.  Thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy schedules to stop by!  Oh!  And for those of you who are following, I finished Adina's dress.  Woohoo!  I'll get the blouse done this afternoon, and she'll be all set for Easter.  I'll be sure to share it here next week, too.  I'm off to read with my girl.  Be blessed!

Sounds like you're all having FUN!!! What a cute bunch of photos too. Love the Easter eggs in the snow. It's so wonderful to see all you do with your kids. Being hands on parents is the best thing for them. You see so many kids that seem lost in the shuffle of life.

I think the only one having fun in the snow here is Max, my arm is ready to fall off after throwing snowballs to the little goober! But I keep thinking this will be the last of it until next year, let him enjoy it...then it snows again HA!!!

Looks like the KidScape was a lot of fun! :) You still have lots of snow! It's almost all melted over here! But now it's all mud!

Looks like you guys have been having lots of fun Jinny!! We are doing some Spring Break days starting tomorrow, and then we'll get back to it on Monday. I spent most of today looking at and ordering Curriculum for next year...so I deserve some days off!! :) Hope you enjoy the rest of your Spring Break!!

Well it sounds like you guys have been enjoying life. I can't believe how late spring is out there.. It has been nice and warm here in the desert. Which scares me cause that means we are going to have an even hotter summer.. YIKES..

Hugs~
