Are you ready to start another week with Color Combos Galore?  I'm here today to help you do just that with this soft and sweet two-pager.
I started this layout by using a stencil and modeling paste to created the butterflies to the outside edges of the Whisper White, cardstock, base pages.  Once that was dry, I spritzed over them with Piglet Mister Huey's and Bubblegum Glimmer Mist.  A little water helped to "run" the color to create the ombre effect, and although it's difficult to tell in these photos, I just love the way much of the shine pooled around the raised edges of the butterfly wings.  I then adhered a piece of pink, medallion, patterned paper across both pages; trimmed its right and left sides with die-cut and punched strips of color-coordinating, patterned papers; and machine-stitched, around its outside edges, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches.  Before securing the photos, they were all matted with Whisper White cardstock.  That turns our attention to the left side of the layout.
Just to the right of the photos, I adhered a pink, damask, journaling card; trimmed off its curved right edge; anchored the trimmed piece, just to the left of the photos, with bright-pink-threaded, straight, machine stitches; and dressed it up with a die-cut, Whisper White, cardstock cloud, as well as a pink, "100% all girl", cardstock sticker.
I then grounded the damask journaling card with a "SNAP SHOTS" journaling card, upon which I journaled, You just loved your dance class, with Miss Sarah, to bits!  But at your recital, all you wanted to do was sit in Daddy's lap and watch.  So sweet!, as well as a couple more die cut clouds.
The journaling runs around a kraft tag, laced with a bright pink, string bow and just to the left of the "Just Dance" title, which was Cameo-cut from Whisper White cardstock and anchored, vertically, along the inside edge of the page, with bright-pink-threaded, straight, machine stitches.
A "SPREAD YOUR WINGS", cardstock sticker...
and a big, yummy flower, which I made from pink ribbon, yellow fabric, pink tulle, and a crystal button...
turn our attention to the right side of the page...
where you'll find another of those bold blossoms, flanked by a "date:" Feb 17, 2012, cardstock, sticker flag.
This side of the page also boasts a pretty, little, yellow, floral pennant.  Each bit was die cut; strung together with bright-pink-threaded, straight, machine stitches; and anchored, at either end, with crystal buttons, laced with more of that yummy, bright pink string, tied in bows.
A couple more die cut clouds and a "life is good!" label complete the look.
Here's your Inspiration Board #239 to get you started.
I was inspired by Inspiration Photo #4 to Focus on Texture: Fabric, but also to add lots of layers by the depth of that cozy bed, and further inspired to create an ombre effect, over my butterflies, by Inspiration Photo #1, as well as to add flowers.  You have until Monday, April 29, 2013 to add your projects, tagged CCG239, to our photo gallery.  Looking forward to seeing what all you create with this delicious palette!  Thanks so much for peeking in, and have a terrific, work week!  Hugs!
