Wplus9 April/May Release: Day 2

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

I'm back, as promised, with a layout to share, housing lots of delicious goodies from Wplus9 Design's newest April/May Release.  Check it out!
I started this layout by stamping the aqua, circles, base page, in Jet Black ink, with the blanket stitched flowers and row of hearts.  I then filled them in with the rings and centers, stamped in Real Red and Daffodil Delight inks, and leaves, stamped in Lucky Limeade ink.  I also stamped a few more on coordinating, White, cardstock die cuts and raised them up, off the face of the layout, with foam tape, when all was said and done.  Lots of little petal flowers, in two different sizes, from Paisley Patterns were, additionally, embossed, with Pool Party powder, throughout the design.
My row of photos was matted with both a yellow, alpha, patterned paper, as well as die-cut, across its top edge, with the Scalloped Border die, textured, white cardstock and adhered just above horizontal center, from left to right side.  One of the photos was then dressed up with a yellow Polaroid, anchored with staples.
The journaling tag was die-cut from Oatmeal cardstock; ink distressed; dressed up with a Cupid's Bow, cardstock ring; laced with Baker's Twine, tied in a bow; and used to journal, All dressed up in the Easter dress Mommy made for you.  April 7, 2012.  A stamped, in Jet Black ink, flower separates the journaling from the date.
Green Acres cardstock, die-cut using my Cameo, and a little glitter begins the "Sweet DAUGHTER OF MINE" title.  Don't you just love this new shade?!  YUM!  I then stamped the middle in Jet Black ink and die-cut the latter, using our fun, new Folk Art Alphabet die, from White cardstock, stamped, in Real Red ink, with the gingham design.  LOVE how those letters mimic the trim on my cutie's skirt in the photographs!
A single, stamped, in Jet Black ink, "homemade" word completes the look.
Further inspiration for this page came from PaperHaus' April Sketch.
Thanks, as always, for taking time out of your busy schedules to drop in.  It means the world to me!  Hugs!  And have a truly amazing day!

This is totally sweet, and reminds me of Mary Engelbreit's flowers. Have loved those for a long time, and when my oldest was a baby I decorated a small bookcase with handpainted flowers like these!

Take care, Jinny. :)

Gorgeous page, love how the colours sit against the white backdrop and how you've used the frame to high light one of the pics.
