Wplus9 April/May Release: Day 3

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

I'm back again, rounding out a fun, little, Wplus9 Design release week of my own with one final stamp set and die to share with you all.
I started this project by baking that scrumptious loaf of Lemon-Poppy Seed Bread, topping it with an even more delicious glaze, and wrapping it in simple plastic wrap.  I then tucked a large, paper doily, as well as a vintage, Citroen advertisement around its outside edges...
and held it in place with that fabulous, yellow and orange, striped ribbon, tied in a bow and embellished with a stamped, in Jet Black ink, "FRESH BAKED", yellow tag; stamped, in Pumpkin Pie ink, with the dish and lid and, in Chocolate Chip ink, with the "homemade BIRTHDAY WISHES" phrase and ink distressed, White, cardstock, tag die cut; yellow fringed ribbon bow; orange, scalloped, ribbon bow; and white cord, laced through a turquoise button and tied in a bow.
A coordinating card gives me the perfect place to write a personal message to the recipient.
I started this card by piecing together the turquoise polka dot, yellow chevron, and orange, woodgrain, patterned papers.  Stamping the latter, in Chocolate Chip ink, with the utensils and trimming the space between the bottom two with a punched strip of Tempting Turquoise cardstock.  I then adhered the resulting piece to the White, cardstock, card face and machine stitched, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around its outside edges.
A length of yellow, fringed ribbon was wrapped around the horizontal center of the card face; tied, in a bow, near its left edge; and embellished with an orange, scalloped, ribbon bow, as well as a turquoise button, laced with a white cord bow.
The frame was created from five layers of die-cut, White cardstock, stacked and secured one on top of the other, ink distressed, and glittered.  I then stamped the "fresh baked BIRTHDAY WISHES" and "HOMEMADE WITH LOVE" sentiments, in Chocolate Chip ink, on a White, cardstock, frame die cut, without the center removed, and filled in around it with stamped, in Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie inks, on coordinating, White, cardstock die cuts, dish, lid, and utensils, before securing the prepared frame over and around it with foam tape.  It was then adhered, also with foam tape, to the card face, just to the right of the embellished bow.
That's all for this release, y'all, but I just can't wait to get these goodies out to begin playing with them even more.  I hope you're already enjoying your very own, but if not, run on over to the Wplus9 Design Online Store, to get your inky, little fingers on them right away.  Until next time, happy stamping, and God bless!  Hugs!
