Note: This is my fourth post in less than 24 hours, so please be sure to scroll down and check out all the fun.

Well, hello there.  Long time, no see.  Tee hee!  I'm back with Color Combos Galore's first, May palette, and it's full of girly charm.  Here's how I was inspired.
I started this card by adhering a piece of blush, striped, patterned paper to the Oatmeal, cardstock, card face.  I then trimmed it, just below horizontal center, with strips of both vintage, melon print and onyx, damask, patterned papers.  A length of white, scalloped lace anchors them both.  I then machine stitched, with ivory-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around the edges of the entire piece, as well as across the top edge of the fabric lace and, with ivory-threaded, straight stitches, the length of the top and bottom edges of the onyx strip.  A floral, "Loved" flashcard was then adhered, with foam tape, in the center of the design and had two fluted, gold sequins tucked under its top right edge.
The "MOTHER" sentiment was gold embossed on a hand-cut, from vellum, pennant; adhered near the base of the floral flashcard...
and grounded, at its left end, with a white, seam binding ribbon, dressy bow, embellished with a white, chord bow, as well as an ivory, paper blossom, flanked with a couple of ivory, paper leaves.
Further inspiration for this card came from Deconstructing Jen's Deconstructed Sketch No. 99.
And here's this week's Inspiration Board #242 to get you off and creating.
I was inspired by Inspiration Photo #4 to Focus on Theme: Mother.  In addition, I was inspired to incorporate flowers, ribbons, and a shabby chic style by Photo #1 and to tie in both sequins and a sheer element by Photo #2.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderfully blessed rest of your Wednesday!
