TCM: Chalkboard Birthday Blog Hop

Monday, May 20, 2013

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's May Blog Hop!  You should be coming here from the talented Jessica Fick's Blog.  If you haven't and somehow got lost along the way or want to start at the beginning, there is a full list of hop participants on The Craft Meow's Design Blog.  Today we're showing off one final, new, stamp set, Chalkboard Birthday.  Here's how it inspired me.
I started this card by piecing together a trio of patterned papers onto a piece of Kraft cardstock and machine stitching, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around their combined, outside edges and, with white-threaded, straight stitches, to either side of the top edge of the kraft, polka dot, patterned paper.  I then adhered a strip of scalloped lace across the bottom edge of that same polka dot paper and topped it with a length of bright pink, striped ribbon...
tied, in a bow, near the left edge of the prepped piece and embellished with a green, paper blossom, backed with a hemp twine bow.
After adhering the entire thing, with foam tape, to the White, cardstock, card face, I stamped a white pocket, in Wild Wasabi ink, with the Chalkboard Birthday sentiment panel; adhered it, to the right of the embellished bow, with foam tape; and stuffed it with a gift card for delivery.
Further inspiration for this card came from the Gift Card Holder Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  And here's the full view of all four of the stamps in Chalkboard Birthday, which can be yours FREE with any $50 purchase during the month of May.  Woohoo!
Now, off you go to Julie Ranae's Blog to continue your hop.  Thanks so much for peeking in!  Commenting by 8 pm PST, on Thursday, May 23, 2013, on each of the blog hop posts, makes you eligible to win all five of this month's new sets.  You are not required to leave comments on each blog, but your chances of winning do increase.  So, be sure to leave lots of love along the way.  Thanks again!  Be blessed!
