Three in One

Monday, May 6, 2013

Good afternoon!  Well, we've started the week out running with the beds changed, the washing nearly complete, a trip to the library, the discovery of a sweet, little visitor under our back porch, and another day of school under our belts.  Now, I've just got to catch up on the dishes; but before that, I've got another Mother's Day creation to share.  Enjoy!
I started this card by adhering a piece of aqua, crossword, patterned paper to the Oatmeal, cardstock, card face and machine stitching, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around its edges.
I then layered a trio of ribbons and lace onto the center of the card face and topped them with a die-cut, from ivory, stitched, patterned paper, frame, as well as a hand-cut, from lace paper, bright pink doily and die-cut, Oatmeal, cardstock circle.  Each layer was separated by foam tape, and the circle die cut was stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the basket image; colored in with colored pencils and mineral spirits; glittered; and ink distressed around its edges.  It was then grounded with a stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a hand-cut, vellum banner, "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment to complete the look.
Inspiration for this card came from Paperhaus' May Sketch...
City Crafter Challenge Blog's Week 157: Spring Has Sprung...
and Pinspired's Joint Blog Hop.  Do you see why I just had to find an image to color with my pencils ;)?
Thanks, as always, for stopping by!  Have a fantastic work week, y'all!
