Happy 4th!

Good morning, y'all!  I just wanted to pop in here to share a card I made, for a call, awhile back.  It didn't get picked up, but I just love it to bits, and it seems to fit the season upon us perfectly ;).  Enjoy!
I started this card by stamping the Kraft, cardstock, card face, in white ink, with the starry background.  I then secured a piece of red, polka dot, patterned paper, in its center, with ivory-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitches, before topping it with a horizontal strip of navy, clock, patterned paper, which was anchored, with double, red-threaded, straight, machine stitches, across its top and bottom edges.
A length of light blue, gingham ribbon was then wrapped around the card face; tied, in a bow, near the right edge; and embellished with a red button, laced with hemp twine bows.
An ink distressed, farm scene, journaling card was then adhered, with foam tape, in the center of the card face, just to the left of the embellished bow and topped with a confetti star, which was made by die-cutting one star from Oatmeal cardstock and another from a clear transparency; sandwiching them together with red-threaded, straight, machine stitches; and leaving just a portion of one corner open to stuff it with lots of punched, Night of Navy, Ruby Red, and Bashful Blue, cardstock, confetti bits, before closing it up completely and adhering it, with foam tape, in the top center of the journaling card.
Finally, I stamped the partial "happy" sentiment, in Jet Black ink, on a red label; secured it, with foam tape, tucked in the bottom center of the journaling card, just under one edge of the prepped, confetti star; and completed it with a kraft, typography, number "4".
Thanks so much for stopping by my little corner of the web!  And to those of you who live in the U.S., may your holiday be full of family, friends, food, fireworks, and fun!  Big hugs!
