TCM: Welcome to the Office

Thursday, July 18, 2013

Note: This is my fourth post in the last 24 hours, so please scroll down to check out all the fun!  I promise things will slow down for the week ahead ;).

Welcome to day three of The Craft's Meow's July Release, folks!  Over the next couple of days, the Design Team will be sharing projects, inspired by stamp sets designed by the talented Karen Baker.  Let's begin with Welcome to the Office.
I started this card by ink distressing a piece of chevron-embossed, Night of Navy cardstock and adhering it to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.  I then anchored a strip of multicolored, circles, patterned paper, with brown-threaded, straight, machine stitches running the lengths of its top and bottom edges, near the bottom of the prepped piece; stapled a length of green, striped Washi near its bottom, stitched edge; and stamped it, in Jet Black ink, with the secondary, "thank you" sentiment.
A piece of Oatmeal cardstock was then spiral punched across its top edge; stamped, in Soft Suede and Jet Black inks, with the coffee ring, as well as the primary, "Stuck ON YOU." sentiment; and tucked into the top edge of the multicolored, circles paper.  The office chair and stapler were stamped, respectively, in Wild Wasabi and Bashful Blue inks, on Whisper White cardstock; hand cut out; and adhered, the latter with foam tape, in the locations you see here, surrounding the primary sentiment.
I then dressed the chair up with a little, orange, checked bow, embellished with an orange button, laced with a hemp twine bow.
A few staples, as well as a binder clip and a bit of "CURRENTLY" flair, complete the look.
I'll be back tomorrow to share one, final, new, July Release, stamp set.  Then, we'll all be rounding out the week with the TCM New Release Blog Hop.  Don't forget to stop by the TCM Store Blog, by 8 pm PST tomorrow, to comment for your chance to win today's stamp set.  Hope to see you all soon!  Be blessed!

Jinny- this is sooooooo cute! I absolutely love the papers and colors for this card! I also love that you left the chair image inked like that-- I always get upset when my stamps don't ink all the way (due to the ink or the stamp quality).... you have inspired me to not reink! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! You are soooooooo amazing! I love everything you make!! <3
