TCM: Autumn Borders

Monday, September 16, 2013

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's September Release, y'all!  Our designers have cooked up a quartet of all-new stamp sets, many of which boast images to highlight the upcoming holidays, for you all, this month.  How about we just jump in with Clare Buswell's latest, Autumn Borders?
I started this card by piecing together a trio of patterned papers; wrapping the prepped piece, vertically and tucked under the woodgrain, turquoise, patterned paper, with a length of white, seam binding ribbon, which I tied in a double bow and embellished with a yellow, Vintage Style button, laced with a hemp twine bow; and machine stitching, with brown-threaded, straight stitches, around their combined edges.
The then added a smattering of gold, heart rubons over all layers and stamped the woodgrain strip, in Chocolate Chip ink, with the "with Gratitude" sentiment, as well as the decorative bar, which was, in turn, colored in with the same color of ink, before adhering the prepped piece, with foam tape, to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.
Finally, I stamped the detailed, pumpkin border, in Jet Black ink, on a hand-cut, Oatmeal, cardstock pennant; machine stitched, with brown-threaded, straight stitches, around its edges; colored it in with pencils and mineral spirits; and adhered it, in its respective position, just above the stamped sentiment and over the rubons, with foam tape.
That gets us started, folks.  Please be sure to stop by the TCM Store Blog and leave a comment, by 8 pm PST tomorrow, for your chance to win today's stamp sets.  Then, we'll all be back tomorrow to share a peek at another fall beauty.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a terrific week, friends!
