TCM: Chalkboard Faith & Rustic Greetings

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

Welcome back to the third day of peeks for The Craft's Meow's September Release, friends!  We've got two new sets to show off today, beginning with Nina Brackett's Chalkboard Faith.
I started this card by piecing the parts of the sun, which were cut from a yellow, diamond, patterned paper, onto the red, floral, patterned paper; framing the prepped piece with Green Acres cardstock; and anchoring the sun bits with green-threaded, straight, machine stitches, before adhering the entire thing, with foam tape, to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.  The chalkboard sentiment was then stamped, in White ink, on a decorative, chalkboard tag; adhered, with foam tape, in the center of the card face; and framed, along its left and right sides, with stamped, in Jet Black ink, decorative lines.
The tag itself was then grounded with a couple of die-cut, from white felt, clouds...
and topped with a bit of red, pompom trim, wrapped up with a yellow, gingham ribbon, tied in a bow and embellished with a red button, laced with a white, chord bow.
We're also showing off more of Angelica Suarez's fabulous design work through a new, must-have, manly set known as Rustic Greetings.
Y'all, this set comes with a trio of line stamps that make an AMAZING plaid.  LOVE!  So, that's exactly where I began with this number.  The lines were stamped, in both Riding Hood Red and Pool Party inks, on a piece of Lake House cardstock.  I then topped the stamped bit with a brown, deer, patterned paper; framed them both with Kraft cardstock; and machine stitched, with brown-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around their combined edges.
A length of Baker's Twine was then wrapped, three times, around the horizontal center of the prepped piece and tied, in a bow, after being laced through a little, red button.
The red, polka dot envelope tucks nicely under the length of wrapped twine and serves as the foundation for my stamped, in stamped-off Chocolate Chip and Old Olive inks, on an ink distressed, Oatmeal, cardstock, die-cut label, deer and branches.  It, along with the stamped, in Riding Hood Red ink, on Oatmeal cardstock, and hand cut banner, which was filled in with the stamped, in Jet Black ink, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" sentiment, was adhered, just to the right of the twine bow, with foam tape to complete the look.
We've got one more day of goodies to share before our New Release Blog Hop, on Friday, y'all!  So, hang in there with us, because there's still so much more to see.  Please also be sure to stop by the TCM Store Blog and leave a comment, by 8 pm PST tomorrow, for your chance to win today's stamp sets.  And thanks, as always, for stopping by!  Be blessed!

Running a bit behind in commenting but boy have you given me a feast of color for the eyes with the last two posts. They're amazing Jinny. Guess what! I made a Jinny dressy bow today! LOL It doesn't look as good as yours. I was at the end of my spool of ribbon so didn't have quite as much as I needed, but it ain't half bad. :-) Hope you're having a great week! Hugs!
