TCM: New Release Blog Hop

Friday, September 20, 2013

It's time for The Craft's Meow's September New Release Blog Hop, folks!  You should be coming here via Jessica Fick's Blog, but if you didn't, got lost along the way, or simply want to start at the beginning, you can find the complete list of hop participants on the TCM Store Blog.  I tapped into Clare's Little Angels and Angelica's Rustic Greetings to put together one final creation to share, with you all, this month.  Enjoy!
I started this card, once again, with those yummy plaid lines, which were stamped, in Pool Party and Pretty in Pink inks, on a piece of dictionary paper.
I then topped it with a piece of Kraft cardstock, which I had stamped, in White ink, with a variety of snowflakes; ink distressed their combined edges; framed them with Ballet Slippers cardstock; and machine stitched, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around their edges.
A length of white, scalloped lace, as well as a pink, sheer ribbon, tied, in a bow, near the left edge of the prepped piece and embellished with an aqua button, laced with a hemp twine bow, dress up the space between the two stamped bits and prep it for the White, cardstock, card face to which it was adhered with foam tape.
The color-coordinating, journaling card, too, was adhered with foam tape, just to the right of the embellished bow and houses the stamped, in Jet Black ink, "Christmas blessings" sentiment.  The wreath was two-tone stamped, in Old Olive and Lucky Limeade inks, on a white, cardstock die cut, with the branch images and dressed up with a little bell and holly images, which were stamped, in Jet Black ink, on White cardstock, colored in with pencils and mineral spirits, and hand cut out.  The holly berries also received a touch of glitter to complete the look.
And here's what's new to the shop, for the month of September, for all you stampers.
