Wplus9 Oct./Nov. Release: Day 1

Monday, September 30, 2013

Hey, friends!  I'm so excited to be here today, showing off an absolutely AMAZING, new release from Wplus9 Design!  Dawn has whipped up six, new, stamp sets and seven, new, coordinating dies, for you all, this month; and y'all, she has completely outdone herself.  When I wrote amazing above, I meant every single capitalized letter of it.  AMAZING!  This is one release you simply don't want to miss, and she's packed every set with so many detailed images for a truly unending plethora of stamping options.  So, how about I stop ranting and raving now and just show you what will be available, in the Wplus9 Design Online Store, in just a few days?  Today we're showing off creations inspired by Woodland Wreaths and Merry & Bright and their coordinating dies.  Check 'em out!
I started this card by piecing a strip of vintage, newsprint, patterned paper down the center of a piece of red, diamond, patterned paper and stamping it, in Cherry Cobbler ink, vertically, down its left edge, with the row of hearts, as well as, in Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, stamped-off More Mustard, and Jet Black inks, with the postmark, stamp, and stamp fillers.  Those little bells come from another new release set, known as Silver Bells, which you'll be seeing lots more from tomorrow ;).
The entire piece was then framed with Oatmeal cardstock; anchored with gold-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitches; and adhered, with foam tape, to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.
The wreath was stamped, in Old Olive ink, on an Oatmeal, cardstock, wreath die cut; dressed up with stamped, in Cherry Cobbler ink, berries; adhered, in it respective position, with foam tape...
and topped with a bit of seam binding, tied in a double bow and embellished with a red button, laced with a white, chord bow; a couple of felt, leaf die cuts; and a stamped, in Garden Green ink, on an Oatmeal, cardstock die cut, mistletoe twig, which was also white embossed with the berries.
It doesn't end there, folks.  Those little, felt, holly leaves above come from the Merry & Bright die.  So, how about a little more from it and it's coordinating stamp set?
I started this card by framing a piece of plaid, patterned paper with a piece of Ballet Slippers cardstock; machine stitching, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around its outside edges; and wrapping it with layered lengths of pink sheer and Pool Party ribbons, tied, in a single bow, near the top edge of the prepped piece and embellished with a lone pearl, backed with a hemp twine bow; before the entire thing was then adhered, with foam tape, to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.
The White, cardstock, rounded rectangle die cut was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the "MAY YOUR HOLIDAYS BE MERRY & BRIGHT" sentiment...
as well as with the glass vase, and, in Pretty in Pink and Daffodil Delight inks, with the candle image.  To get the lighter, melted wax look, I simply stamped off once, with the same color of ink as the candle itself, before stamping it in position.  All the grounding flora was stamped, in Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Pool party, Riding Hood Red, Cherry Cobbler, and Daffodil Delight inks, on their individual, White, cardstock die cuts and adhered in their respective locations, some with foam tape; before the cardstock rectangle was backed with cheesecloth and adhered, with foam tape, in the center of the card face.
That gets us started, y'all.  Told you it was an amazing release ;).  And you're so lucky, because this is just the beginning.  I'll be back, at the same time and place, tomorrow to share lots more.  In the meantime, be sure to stop by our talented designers' blogs to see how they've been inspired today.  Also, don't forget to stop by and leave a comment on the Design Blog for your chance to win today's release goodies.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be blessed!

Love the contrast of the cards Jinny with the more traditional look on the first, and a bit of the non-traditional on the second.
