Emma was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, on an ink distressed, die-cut, Oatmeal, cardstock label and colored in with pencils and mineral spirits, before being paper pieced with pants, prepared in the same way as Emma herself, and a poncho, stamped on patterned paper, and being adhered, with foam tape, just to the left of the embellished ribbon. An orange, button blossom, laced with hemp twine, and a dash of glitter, for the large polka dots, complete the look.
Further inspiration for this card came from The Shabby Tea Room's Week #187: Sketch This...
and here's our Paper Sweeties' Inspiration Challenge #12. I was totally drawn to the shades of coral and orange in the pic. I also couldn't resist that single sunflower, being as I'm from the Sunflower State; and of course, I had to toss in Emma with her sweet pigtails.
You have until the close of the month, on Thursday, October 31, 2013, to link up your takes, at the challenge link above, in order to be in the running to win a $20 gift certificate to the Paper Sweeties Shoppe, as well as to have the opportunity to guest design with us next month. Looking forward to seeing what you all can cook up! Thanks so much for stopping by, friends, and have a remarkable weekend!
