TCM: Christmas Blessings

Thursday, October 17, 2013

Welcome back to The Craft's Meow's October Release!  Today we're showing off creations inspired by Karen Baker's Christmas Blessings.  Here's mine.
I started this card by piecing the olive wavy and navy, doily, patterned papers together; trimming their center with a scalloped strip of silver, glitter paper; framing everything with Nautical Navy cardstock; and machine stitching, with white-threaded, straight stitches, around their combined edges.
The glitter strip was then topped with a length of white, seam binding ribbon, wrapped around the prepped piece; tied in a bow near the right edge; and embellished with a bit of silver chord, tied in a bow, as well as an aqua paper bloom, before the entire thing was adhered, with foam tape, to the White, cardstock, card face.
The focal point was then stamped, in White ink, on a Nautical Navy, cardstock label, and the "May His Blessings Shine Upon You" sentiment was silver embossed right over its middle; before it was backed with a bit of cheesecloth and adhered, with foam tape, just to the left of the embellished bow.
That covers another day, friends, but there's so much more to come.  I hope you'll join me again, at the same time and place, tomorrow.  Until then, be sure to stop by The Craft's Meow Store Blog and comment, by 8 pm PST tomorrow, for your chance to win today's stamp set.  Thanks so much for peeking in, and have a great day!
