TCM: Christmas Lantern

Friday, October 18, 2013

I'm back showing off another, Christmas, stamp set for The Craft's Meow, friends.  This beauty was illustrated by Clare Buswell and is known as Christmas Lantern.
I started this card by framing a piece of vintage, Christmas, patterned paper, in the center of the Cupid's Bow, cardstock, card face, with red-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitches.  I then stamped the lantern image, in Jet Black ink, on White cardstock; colored it with pencils and mineral spirits; hand cut it out; dressed it up with a few kisses of glitter; and adhered it, with foam tape, in the center of the card face.
The frame was then made by layering five, White, cardstock, rounded rectangles one on top of the other, ink distressing their combined edges, and glittering the top layer.  It was then tucked in behind the lantern image and had the "Celebrate the season" sentiment stamped, in Jet Black ink, vertically, just inside its left edge.
Last, but certainly not least, the top right corner was dressed up with a length of white, seam binding ribbon, tied in a double bow and embellished with a red button, laced with a Baker's Twine bow, as well as a couple of die-cut, felt, holly leaves.
Day three down, and one more to go before our monthly New Release Blog Hop.  Please be sure to stop by the TCM Store Blog and leave a comment, by 8 pm PST tomorrow, for your chance to win today's stamp set.  Then, I'll be back tomorrow to share a couple peeks of our final, two, new, stamp sets.  As always, thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend, y'all!
