TCM: Under the Tree

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's October Release, folks!  Our talented illustrators have cooked up five, fabulous, new, Christmas-themed, stamp sets, for you all, this month, beginning with Mindy Baxter's Under the Tree.
I started this card by stamping the tree image, in Jet Black ink, near the bottom left corner of a piece of blue, snowflake, patterned paper.  I then colored it with pencils and mineral spirits; gave it a few red, gemstone ornaments; and coated its star in Crystal Effects, before framing the prepped piece with White cardstock; machine stitching, with white-threaded, straight stitches, around its edges; and adhering it to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.  The dressed tree was then flanked with both a chipboard house, all decked out for Christmas, and the sweet, little, lady image.  The latter was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on White cardstock, colored with pencils and mineral spirits, hand cut out, and dressed up with a touch of glitter.  Isn't she just too stinkin' cute?!
The "Have yourself a Merry little CHRISTMAS" sentiment was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a vellum, banner die cut and tucked under the right side of the girl image.
Finally, I dressed up the roof of the house with a little, white seam binding, tied in a double bow and embellished with a red gemstone, backed with a white, chord bow.
That gets us started, folks.  Please be sure to stop by the TCM Store Blog and leave a comment, by 8 pm PST tomorrow, for your chance to win today's stamp set.  Then, we'll all be back tomorrow to share a peek at another Christmas beauty.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be blessed!
