TCM: Farewell Blog Hop

Saturday, November 30, 2013

Welcome to The Craft's Meow's Farewell Blog Hop!  You should be coming here from Michelle Bertuzzi's Blog, but if you didn't and want to start at the beginning or simply got lost along the way, a complete list of hop participants can be found on the TCM Store Blog.
We're sad to say that The Craft's Meow Store is closing its doors at the end of December.  So, Lisa has rallied a number of designers and illustrators, both past and present, for one final blog hop, featuring some of our most favorite stamp sets and images.  You all know how much I adore the plaid stamp from Angelica's Rustic Greetings, and Clare's Potted Garden set tops my list of all-time faves.  So, I paired them together with a beautiful, Christmas sentiment, from Clare's Christmas Lantern, to bring you this.
I started this card by stamping the dictionary, patterned paper, in Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red ink, with the plaid background; trimming its left side with a strip of woodgrain, patterned paper; framing the combined piece with Oatmeal cardstock; and machine stitching, with white-threaded, straight stitches, around the outside edges of the prepped piece.  I then wrapped a length of Cherry Cobbler, seam binding ribbon, vertically, around the prepped piece, between the two patterned papers; tied it, in a dressy bow, near the top edge; embellished it with a rustic, wood button, laced with a hemp twine bow; and adhered the entire thing, with foam tape, to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.
The tulips were then stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a vintage, journaling card; colored with pencils and mineral spirits; and adhered, with foam tape, in the center of the card face, just below the embellished bow.
They were then framed with a kraft, "NOTED" Polaroid, which I stamped, in Riding Hood Red ink, with the "Peace on earth" sentiment, to complete the look.
Further inspiration for this card came from The Shabby Tea Room's Week #194: Christmas Is Coming...
and Festive Friday's Final Challenge of 2013.
All TCM stamp sets have been marked down by as much as 75%!  Stock is limited.  Once it's gone, it's gone for good.  So, please shop early for the best selection.  All orders of $25 or more will receive a free gift with purchase.  Flat rate shipping is $3.00 for all U.S. orders and $12 for all International orders.  Please see the TCM Store Blog for details, or click over to The Craft's Meow Online Store to start shopping!

And before you're off to Deborah Nolan's Blog, I wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to Lisa for inviting me to be a part of her amazing team.  I have had so much fun designing with the images created by our uber talented designers and working alongside some truly special, Christ-like women to bring you all quality inspiration from month to month.  And to all you TCM lovers, thank you for embracing me as a part of the team.  Your comments and encouragement have not gone unnoticed and have meant the world to me.  TCM will be greatly missed.  Lisa, we all wish you nothing but the best now and in all your future endeavors.  Hugs!

I will miss you so much, although who knows... once the dust settles, I might actually have time to create again and visit blogs. Yours will definitely be one I'll be sure to visit. :)
