November Pub

Thursday, December 12, 2013

Just popping in to share a card I had in the November 2013 Issue of CARDS Magazine.  All the supplies and details for its making can be found on pages 35 and 36.
This is my final publication for now.  It was a fun two and half years, but I'm just having a hard time swallowing the move to a digital-only format.  Not only that, but the Craft Junction "coupon code" payments don't work for me; and I cannot get anyone, from Craft Junction or Northridge Publishing, to respond to my requests for help.  I've supposedly got hundreds of dollars to spend over there, but the site won't accept the email I've had for nearly eight and a half years.  Whatever!  It's just not worth my time anymore.  In addition, Northridge Publishing's lack of communication, while this whole move was in process, left a bad taste in my mouth.  So, I'm leaving all the unnecessary frustration and angst behind and moving onward and upward.

I also had a couple of recognitions, during the month of November, that I'd like to share with you all.  This card received a Shout Out at Festive Friday...
and this layout put me in the Top 3 at Life. Paper. Scrapbook.  Woohoo!  Thank you so much to all the designers who made said such possible!  It's ever so fun to have the opportunity to play along with and be inspired by the best in the business.  Then, to be honored for a treasured work of art, just tops it all off.  Thank you!
And thanks so much, to you all, for stopping by my little neck of the woods!  You all make continuing to come here, to share my life and creations, completely worthwhile.  Big hugs!

Congrats on your publication and challenge recognitions Jinny! This whole digital thing may seem the way of the future for magazines, but I DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT!! I know SO MANY other agree. It's their loss losing your beautiful creations ;)

Pretty homespun feel to your card.
I hate that cards magazines are going to digital format too! So disappointed.
I wanted to tell you what I've had luck with at Northridge Publishing.
If you go to the magazine's main site, and try to log in to view the magazines, you should find a live chat option. Try that. That's the only way I have been able to get anywhere with them regarding correspondence. Also maddening is the craft junction but keep trying ot ask N.P. I got some good product which shipped super fast. I agree it's WAY too much trouble to deal with, though.

Love the gorgeous country feel on your first card Jinny! And your other work is awesome too! I am not a fan of the all digital format either. :( I love to have a magazine in my hand to look. Sorry to hear you've had so much trouble with placing your Craft Junction orders!!

I love both card, Jinny! The first one is so adorable, and the second amazingly festive! I have to agree with you - I really dislike the change to digital formats for publications. Good for you to leave the frustration behind!!!! And your layout is absolutely wonderful. Here's wishing you and your wonderful family a happy and blessed holiday season!

What a shame that you've had such bad dealings with the magazine. You'd think they would be more professional. I've already told you that I'm crazy about that poinsettia card. It's just gorgeous. Congrats on your pubs! Hugs!

P/s: Northridge lost one of my cards earlier this year...no news on that yet...I prefer print magazines to digital!
